Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
•Associate’s or Bachelor’s Technical Degree or five to seven years related experience and/or training
•Minimum five (5) years of experience operating in a production environment.
•Supervisory experience
•Stationary Engineering License required

Cargill Salt has an immediate opening for a shift Maintenance Mechanic at our Akron facility.  Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years experience in maintenance repairs.  Applicant must have a strong background in electrical or instrumentation maintenance plus knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic and general mechanical equipment.  Successful applicant will need to pass a general maintenance test demonstrating mechanical knowledge, and be able to work holidays and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

This position is responsible for maintaining color data process management; primarily color match maintenance in GRID and maintaining the USCA Refinish color panel library as well as general duties involved with maintaining refinish color information to customers.

1. 30% Input Electronic Formulation Tools (EFT) match maintenance final formulation and associated color hits; reading and inputting  reflectance data; and verification of final GRID information for accuracy.   

2. 20% Color panel file maintenance. Maintaining integrity & organization of 100,000+ panels for easy retrieval, including labeling, pulling panels for projects, audits, color card production as well as panel tracking in GRID.

3. 20% Work with Refinish labs(local & global) to identify and mail correct panels and data associated with lab projects                                                                                                                    

4. 15% Work with and maintain numerous spreadsheets

5. 10%  Assist with updating model information in the GRID database and provide back up when needed (performing numerous job functions for vacation coverage) 

6. 5%  Provide office support to entire team    

Contact with others includes but not limited to: USCA Color Information & Variant Process Manager, Color Coordinators, Color Systems Supervisor, Formulators, Lab personnel overseas.

Work Direction of Others: Incumbent may provide some work direction to other lab personnel when standards are required for projects.

Qualifications:

Experience and Education

·         High School Degree or equivalent

·         Minimum 3 years work experience demonstrating responsibility for system management or process integrity of current and new data

·         Knowledge of legacy data of Refinish brands and their historic practices

·         Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

·         Strong communication skills. Sharing of accurate information to lab technicians and managers, both at local and global Refinish sites

·         Passing a Clerical Assessment Battery Test.
