Role Model Speakers Bureau
When did you first learn about women in trade and technical careers? Role Model Speakers encourage women and girls to recognize a wide range of career options. Volunteers Role Model speakers participate as guest speakers to raise positive community awareness about non-traditional careers for women and girls. Speakers present at schools, career fairs, HHW’s Orientations to Nontraditional Careers and more! For more information, check out this flyer.
Tradeswomen TOOLS Mentoring Program
What is it that you now know about your career that you wished you had learned early on? Mentors give support and advice to women entering into, or already placed in skilled trade and technical careers or programs. The mentoring program provides a system of support for participants to deal with the unique issues and situations that they experience. For more information, check out this flyer!
Tradeswomen TOOLS/VISTA Advisory Council
Become a council member and advise HHW how to best meet the needs of low income women so as to put women, girls and families on a path to long term economic security. The advisory council will help to promote and address issues facing women nontraditional fields, and the barriers interested women and girls face in their pursuit of a high-skilled, high-wage trade and technical career or training program. Lean On Us Contact List
While on the job, did you ever wish you had another experienced women to call for support? The Lean on Us List provides a network of support for women in trade and technical careers. This is a perfect volunteer opportunity for an experienced woman in trade and technical careers to informally provide support, information and words of advice.
Tradeswomen TOOLS Liaison Program
Volunteers act as a liaison between HHW and your union or workplace. Liaisons promote Hard Hatted Women’s Crew program, serve as a resource for women in you trade (referring them to HHW when further help is needed), and help us understand how HHW can be a resources for women, unions and employees.
